Last night was the first meeting for the Digital Interaction and Environment unit. We met at the Make Hack Void (MHV) space in Belconnen. It was a little hard to find at first but follow the colourful Led lights and you’ll get there 😛
This meeting was mainly about introductions, getting a tour of the MHV workshop and then powering up our laptops to have the first look at our Arduinos. This unit was the first time I had heard about Arduinos and I was amazed at the things you can do with this little bit of technology.
Our first exercise was to make the Arduino blink and then play with the code to make it blink at different rates eg like Morse code. My coding skills are a bit rusty but thankfully I was able to make it work. Woo hoo!
